Where We Are

Acura of Brooklyn sits on the stretch of Nostrand Avenue between Kings Highway and Avenue R, in the heart of Midwood. If you know Brooklyn College, we are about eight blocks south of campus on the same avenue. If you know Kings Plaza, we are a ten-minute drive west along Avenue U and Kings Highway.

Nostrand Avenue is the easiest thing about finding us. It runs north to south through half of Brooklyn — from Bedford-Stuyvesant down through Crown Heights, Flatbush and Midwood — so from most of the borough the entire trip is one turn onto Nostrand and then straight ahead. Coming from outside Brooklyn, the Belt Parkway and Flatbush Avenue do most of the work, and both feed you onto Nostrand within a few blocks of the door.

We are also a practical stop from either airport: roughly 20 minutes from JFK on the Belt Parkway, and about 35 to 45 minutes from LaGuardia depending on the bridge you take. Customers picking up a car after a flight do it regularly.

The showroom, the service center and the parts department are all at this one address, and so are five more Plaza Auto Mall showrooms within a short walk — Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia and Plaza Used Cars. One parking spot covers the whole visit.

The Main Routes In

Whatever your starting point, you will arrive on one of four approaches. If you are not sure which applies, the Belt Parkway route works from anywhere south or east of us, and Flatbush Avenue works from anywhere north or west.

By subway and bus

Take the 2 or 5 to Flatbush Avenue–Brooklyn College, the last stop, then the B44 SBS south on Nostrand Avenue — it stops steps from our door. The B44 local, the B6 along Avenue J and the B9 along Avenue L all cross Nostrand Avenue nearby.

What to Expect When You Get Here

Coming in for a test drive

Bring your driver's license — that is genuinely all you need to drive something. If you are close to buying and want firm numbers the same day, bring proof of insurance and, if you are trading a car in, its registration and title or lease account details. If you would rather have the numbers settled first, get pre-approved online and get your trade appraised before you drive over.

Coming in for service

The service department opens at 7:00am Monday through Saturday, which is the slot most of our out-of-borough customers take — drop the car, get where you are going, collect it later. Book the appointment online and tell us what you are noticing; the more detail, the faster the diagnosis.

Picking a quieter time

Weekday mornings right after opening are the calmest hours on the floor, and Saturday afternoons the busiest. If you want unhurried time with a product specialist and several cars to compare back to back, aim for a weekday before noon.
