2027 Acura ADX: What's Changing, Release Date and Pricing for NYC Drivers
Published September 10, 2026 · Last updated September 10, 2026
The ADX is the shortest route into an Acura: the Integra's turbo engine, a luxury cabin, and a sticker that sits closer to a well-equipped mainstream crossover than to a German badge. For 2027 the recipe stays put. Below is what Acura has confirmed, what the industry expects, and how each trim fits life in New York.
What's changing on the 2027 Acura ADX?
On the hardware, very little. Previews published this summer by CarsDirect and Autoblog describe the 2027 ADX as a carryover: the same 1.5-liter VTEC turbo with 190 hp and 179 lb-ft, the same sport-tuned CVT with paddle shifters, and the same three-step lineup of ADX, A-Spec and A-Spec with Advance Package. That fits the calendar. The ADX only reached showrooms in March 2025, and a new model rarely gets reworked in its third year.
The updates that are real arrive through software and the accessory catalog. In July 2026 Acura began adding Google Gemini, a conversational voice assistant, to vehicles with Google built-in, which on the ADX means the A-Spec with Advance Package. In May it launched Acura Partnered Accessories, bringing gear from trusted third-party brands into the purchase itself. Further out, industry reporting points to a refresh around 2028, possibly with hybrid power. Acura has confirmed neither.
When is the 2027 Acura ADX release date?
2027 ADX release timing at a glance
- Announced: not yet. Acura had issued no 2027 ADX release as of September 10, 2026.
- Precedent: the first ADX went on sale March 18, 2025; the 2026 model reached dealers January 8, 2026.
- Expected arrival: no date yet; last year's January launch makes winter 2026 to 2027 the likeliest window.
- Buying today: 2026 models are in stock now with the same engine, trims and safety equipment.
- What to do now: tell us trim, drivetrain and color, and we will flag the first matching 2027 allocation. No deposit, no obligation.
The changeover months tend to favor the outgoing car. Once a new model year is announced, remaining 2026 units often carry the strongest factory support, so compare this month's lease specials and current Acura incentives before deciding to wait.
Will the 2027 Acura ADX cost more?
Possibly, but not by much. Acura held the 2026 base MSRP at $35,000, the same as the 2025 launch price, and only raised the destination charge by $100 to $1,450. CarsDirect expects a modest, inflation-sized bump for 2027. Today the range runs from $35,000 to $44,400 before destination, and Kelley Blue Book's Fair Purchase Price data recently showed buyers paying $1,550 to $2,350 under sticker, depending on trim.
Context helps. U.S. News calls the ADX the most affordable model in the luxury subcompact SUV class, and Kelley Blue Book notes that it undercuts the BMW X1, Lexus UX and Volvo XC40. For roughly the cost of a loaded mainstream compact SUV, you get a premium badge, AcuraWatch safety and a digital cockpit on every trim.
2027 Acura ADX trims compared
All three trims are expected to return for 2027, according to industry reporting. Until Acura publishes 2027 data, the table below shows confirmed 2026 pricing and equipment.
| Trim | MSRP FWD / AWD | EPA mpg city / hwy / comb. | Wheels | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ADX 2026 spec | $35,000 / $37,000 | 26 / 31 / 28 FWD 25 / 30 / 27 AWD | 18-in alloy | Moonroof, heated front seats, power driver's seat, 9-in touchscreen, 10.2-in digital cluster, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, 15W wireless charger, power tailgate with Walk Away Close, AcuraWatch |
| A-Spec 2026 spec | $38,200 / $40,200 | 26 / 31 / 28 FWD 25 / 30 / 27 AWD | 19-in alloy | Adds panoramic moonroof, ventilated front seats, Ultrasuede seat trim, flat-bottom leather wheel, ambient lighting, LED fog lights, gloss black trim |
| A-Spec with Advance 2026 spec | $42,400 / $44,400 | 26 / 31 / 28 FWD 25 / 30 / 27 AWD | 19-in Berlina Black | Adds Google built-in with 3-year data plan, heated steering wheel, multi-view camera, parking sensors, 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio |
One pattern stands out: fuel economy is identical across trims, so the choice comes down to equipment and drivetrain. All-wheel drive adds $2,000 on any trim and costs a single combined mpg.
Which ADX trim suits a New York routine?
Autoblog and most reviewers name the A-Spec as the value pick, and it is hard to argue. For $3,200 over the base model you get ventilated seats (welcome in August traffic), the panoramic moonroof and the sportier cabin. The one tradeoff is wheel size: the base model's 18-inch wheels carry taller sidewalls, which are a little kinder over potholes.
The Advance Package is the only trim with the multi-view camera and parking sensors. If you parallel park on narrow blocks or thread a tight garage ramp every day, that alone can justify the step up. AWD makes sense for drivers who park outdoors or head to the Catskills in January; for garage parkers on plowed routes, front drive with good winter tires is usually enough.
Inside: screens, seats and space
Every ADX pairs a 10.2-inch Precision Cockpit digital display with a 9-inch touchscreen that keeps a physical volume knob. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, rear air vents and a 15W wireless charger come standard, and the USB ports deliver up to 60W, enough to top up a laptop before a meeting.
Space is the quiet strength. Rear legroom measures 37.7 inches, and cargo room is 24.4 cubic feet behind the rear seat (23.2 with the Advance Package), growing to 55.1 with the seat folded. Cars.com pointed out a fold-down rear armrest with cupholders the HR-V lacks, plus unusually easy-to-find child-seat anchors. Pair Double Apex Blue Pearl paint with the Orchid interior and you get blue microsuede inserts.
How the 2027 ADX compares with its last update
The ADX has not had a restyle yet; it is only in its third model year. The closest thing to one was the 2026 update, which added a color and held the price. Here is the short version.
| Model year | What changed | Base MSRP | Destination |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | All-new model; on sale March 18, 2025 | $35,000 | $1,350 |
| 2026 | Double Apex Blue Pearl paint, available with Orchid interior; price held | $35,000 | $1,450 |
| 2027 | Carryover expected, per industry reporting; Gemini assistant for models with Google built-in | Not announced | Not announced |
| 2028 | Refresh reportedly planned, hybrid possible; unconfirmed | Not announced | Not announced |
For a buyer, a third-year car is a good place to land: the launch questions have been answered and the assembly line has settled in. The ADX shares its structure with the Honda HR-V, and Plaza Honda's 2027 vs 2026 HR-V comparison shows how that side of the family is evolving.

Safety scores, awards and the good news
The 2025 ADX earned a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in December 2025, joining the Integra and MDX, and holds a 5-star Overall Vehicle Score from NHTSA. It carries ten airbags, including a segment-first pair of front airbags shaped to limit head rotation in angled crashes. AcuraWatch is standard: automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise with Low-Speed Follow, lane keeping, Traffic Jam Assist, blind spot information and Rear Cross Traffic Monitor.
Critics are mostly kind. Kelley Blue Book says the ADX handles and steers better than its premium rivals, and counts 4.6 more inches of rear legroom and 42 percent more cargo space than the Lexus UX. U.S. News places it fourth among luxury subcompact SUVs, though it finds acceleration modest for the badge. The brand is on a run too: Kelley Blue Book named Acura America's Best Value Luxury Brand in 2025, Car and Driver gave the Integra Type S its Editors' Choice award for a third straight year in 2026, and Acura turns 40 this year. Coverage runs 4 years or 50,000 miles, with 6 years or 70,000 miles on the powertrain.
Why the ADX works for New York drivers
Size is the first advantage. At 185.8 inches long, 72.5 wide and 63.8 tall, the ADX slips into attended garages, parallel spots and low-clearance ramps that turn larger SUVs away, yet its 55 cubic feet of folded cargo space swallows a weekend in the Hudson Valley or a beach run to Rockaway. Standard Traffic Jam Assist and Low-Speed Follow take the edge off the BQE, the Belt and the Cross Bronx, and blind spot monitoring earns its keep with e-bikes and double-parked vans in the next lane.
The second advantage is how well it fits a car-light household. Plenty of New Yorkers commute by train and keep one car for everything else: Costco runs, airport pickups, visits to family in Jersey or on Long Island. A power tailgate that closes itself as you walk away, a car-seat-friendly rear bench and 28 mpg combined suit that job, and the premium cabin makes the occasional long drive feel like less of a chore. Want something sportier or bigger? Compare the Acura Integra or step up to the Acura RDX.
Compare the ADX against five brands in one visit
Acura of Brooklyn is part of Plaza Auto Mall, family-owned on Nostrand Avenue since 1975: five new-vehicle brands, a certified pre-owned program for each, and a multibrand used-car store, with over 1,000 vehicles in stock within a seven-minute walk.
That makes honest cross-shopping easy. Drive the ADX, then walk over to its cousin the Honda HR-V or the roomier CR-V Hybrid. Toyota's Corolla Cross and RAV4 Hybrid are steps away, and the Crown Signia covers premium hybrid territory. At Hyundai and Kia, the Kona, Tucson Hybrid, Seltos and Sportage Hybrid round out the comparison. On a tighter budget, the Plaza Auto Mall used inventory covers every brand we sell and many we do not.
